I am completely lost - Guild Wars Forums

My ingame name is karano kyoukai and i recently got 15 HOM points and am poor as hell. I play a ranger and I feel like going for any other statue will be a time sink and a bore fest that I don't think I am willing to go for...

with that said I figured before I say peace out to GW1 I'd ask for some advice and some direction...and a humble request if any rich people could hook me up with a gold minipet or a wep statue or SOMETHING because honestly I have no idea what to do to get these things at all. Anyway, I appreciate any feedback. (and yes ive looked up guides and such but it all seems like a huge time sink and no real ETA is given on some of these...or how to do it, and the wiki is also fairly vague on most of these things)

I know things sound hopeless, when I was around 15 myself I said I would never get to 30, let alone 25. I currently almost have 32. It takes a lot of time and patience.. I got there thanks to conset farming, or feather/dust farming. Its super easy, you just farm low level tengu (around level 10 I think) for feathers.

low level tengu...just farm outside D'lessio Seaboard. you can use a necro or rit also to farm that area. But stefans is correct salvage for iron, steel, dust, bone, feathers and plant fibers. Look for the quest that give a monetary reward. Sell the items that drop. Look at the rune trader and salvage the most expensive runes from the drops you get which means you will need to ID blues, purples, golds and then salvage the runes from them. Getting 30 is not too hard. get your master rewards on missions. Once you've beaten a campaign begin doing the vanquishes, you get gold that way also.

Nope. What you do with the feathers is up to you. Obviously making consets requires more, such as level 3 rank in Deldrimor, Asura and Norn, as well as a lot of skill points. (Each consumable costs 1 skill points) But the consets make you the most profit. If you dont know what consets are, they're just a set of consumables people buy for easier trips in the Underworld. You can also just sell a stack of feathers for 9k, but like I said, less profitable, but much easier to do. Consets sell for 10k each. 1 conset requires 100 iron, 100 dust, 50 feathers, 50 bones, 750 gold and 3 skill points.

EDIT: And yes, like Neith said, salvage any junk you get that can turn into iron such as swords, axes, wands, shields, etc... it'll help you build consets as iron is a very expensive component too.

To be perfectly honest, if you want more than 15/50 for HOM then you ae going to have to put some time into it. Nothing comes for free. If you want a gold mini pet you can buy celestial minis for around 40k. Pro tip, pick up EVERYTHING.

Hero armor and pets is the easiest to fully open and thats 8 points to Hall instantly for little work. You can even afk most of it.

Minis is probably out of your reach because lets face it you've already said you cba to grind.

Weapons again is going to be a grind for you but you can, just by completing the WiK Story line get 2~ oppressor weapons for your Hall and trade one of them for a destroyer weapon with a player and that is suddenly 2 points

EoTN Armor is the cheapest armor ish but if you haven't the gold then I'd avoid going down the armor line.

Titles is again a grind. Suddenly me reading your post again makes me think you're just a player that wants things to be handed to you. Which I'm not inclined to do but I've given my advice what to aim for what to avoid. Hopefully you go back and read the very helpful guides that are up. Theres still at least a month to go until gw2 is out I suggest you get at least to 30/30 which is fairly easy even for a brand new player.

If you want a time frame of 2-3 hours a day playing, as an exp player I'd say 6 weeks of playing. For a new player maybe twice as long I'm not sure. But there you go.

5 points ??? Beat all 3 campaigns, getting Protector title in at least two of them.
6 points ??? 1 rare pet (which gives both that statue and the normal pet statue), M.O.X., and 7 more Heroes.
5 points ??? 1 Tormented, Oppressor, and Destroyer weapon. Plus two more of your choice.
3 points ??? 1 unique and 1 rare miniature.
5 points ??? 5 Prestige armor sets (one must be Elite Luxon, Elite Kurzick, Vabbian or Obsidian armor.) (Head gear not required.)
3 points ??? Your choice of:
Zaishen title (200 Zaishen Keys for rank 3).
15 more titles/elite missions of your choice.
10 more weapons.
28 more miniatures.

Allright, here is your checklist to get 7 points ordered by time needed:

You can get green mini for nearly free by obtaining Black Moa Chick through scavenger hunt (2-3 hours, also gives sorrows furnace statue)

Getting rest of nightfall hero armors, back widdow and phoenix pet is rather easy and quick too (cap phoenix asap and have it out all the time while doing other stuff) (about 3 hours farming challenge missions)

Complete War In Kryta for free WIK weapon for monument. (5-6 hours)

Farm for Luxon or Kurzick armor set. (10-20 hours)

Get EOTN hero armors (5 hours in challenge missions)

I recommend to make money and some synergy on your title you participate in z-quests... sell silver coins for about 2k/ea... also the weekly traveler give 5 gifts a week in exchange for certain monster trophies... those can be easily sold for 4-5k/ea.... if you have multiple accounts use them to increase your weekly gift profits.

You can also play challenge missions in nightfall and EoTN for hero armor to add ur heroes to HoM for more points.

Keep in mind that this was never a game that you could pick up and complete everything in a few months... if you want it all it takes some degree of gamer dedication.

For newcomers that get this game specifically for GW2 rewards i recommend you set ur first goal to 30/50.... pick the accomplishments that will be easiest for you.

It's the 7th year Birthday festival. This one is special and lasts two weeks and MANY of the drops from all of the special events from various times of they year are dropping from every mob in the game right now. You can just do whatever it is you like to do(solo farming being the best method of acquiring lots of stuff though) and get tons of sweets, party points, booze etc. You can sell those and buy stuff for your HoM to fill it out.

You are going to have to do some actual grinding to get to 30 from where youa re now though. It's jsut a fact. if you don't feel like doing that, I would stop now. If you are willing to put in some work though, now is the BEST time there has ever been for making money in this game and also getting titles. Faction has been doubled for areas of the game that offer faction for doing things like Sunspear points and Kurzick/Luxon faction.

Hey guys...new question!

So...I have discovered the joys of fort aspenwood and was wondering what to do with the imperial rep.

Option A: Use Imperial Rep to trade for Luxon Rep to work towards Luxon rep statue and Luxon Armor statue.

Option B: Use Imperial Rep to trade for Balth rep and use balth rep to get zkeys to eventually get a pvp statue for 3 HoM pts.

Option C: Use Imperial Rep to trade for balth rep and use balth rep to get zkeys and sell the zkeys to buy things like minis (or whatever any of you recommends)

once again, for reference and HoM check my ingame name is Karano Kyoukai and I am going for 30/50. Thanks for any feedback!
